WHEN HE AVAS FRIGHTENED IN THE AVAR. Viscount Lascelles, husband of tho Princess Mary., after unveiling a war memorial at Finchley, related a personal experience in a front-line trench'. “On ono occasion,” ho said, “I became frightened. Being a captain, it did not do for mo to show it, so I wont round a traverse in order to pull myself together. There I saw a sentry who was also frightened, but was showing it more. I laughed so much that his fear vanished. Probably the sentry has told his friends since how ho laughed at me!”
