MANAWATU MEETING. FINAL DAY AT AWAPUNI. For an off day there was a very fair attendance of racing enthusiasts. The fields were smaller than on the two preceding racing days but, despite this, some excellent racing was witnessed, the meeting being in several respects the most successful the club has enjoyed for some years past. Passing through the straight for tho first time Waioeka Jack had established a lead of from eight to 10 lengths, but at the back Comedy Prince closed up. Slump then made a forward move and was with Bonny Rill at the last hurdle. The leader, however, could not be headed, and he went on to win easily by five lengths. Slump was second, half a length in front of the fast-finishing Comedy Prince. Bonny Rill was fourth. Time, 3.12 4-5.
