GALE IN FRANCE
FERRY BOAT OVERTURNED.
CEMETERY DEVASTATED,

The gale wrecked the Eiffel lower’s aerials, preventing broadcasting, and overturned a ferry boat crossing the river Seine, nine persons being drowned. Several persons were injured at Rheims by the collapse of walls. The gale razed tombstones in Clermont, leaving the cemetery like a shell-torn battlefield.—Sydney Sun cable.,
