SHOT IN THE NIGHT.

BODY FOUND IN GARDEN. LONDON, Dec. 25. Awakened by the report of a gun a Trowbridge resident looked out of his bedroom window and saw a body lying in the garden. Ho investigated and found Edward Richards, a brewery traveller, living in the same house, unconscious from bullet wounds. Richards died in hospital. The police have not discovered any pistol. They are convinced that Richards was murdered.—Sydney Sun cable. TWO ARRESTS MADE. Received December 28, 10.0 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 27. A Christmas tragedy occurred at Trowbridge, when Edward Charles Richards was found shot in his own garden. Ho made a statement to the police, who on Christmas Day arrested Bombardier Jack Lincoln at a house where a party -was progressing. Lincoln said: “Do not break up the party; I will come quietly.” Another man arrested was Bombardier lan Maxwell.
