WON BY POOR SPANIARDS. MADRID, Dec. 23. The big prize of £500,000 in a Spanish lottery, which is the most popular national event of the year, will bo divided between vendors of bananas, chestnut toasters, umbrella repairers and hawkers living in the poorest quarters of Madrid. The winners contributed a few pence each. Though there are many participants, each will receive a large sum.
