LAWN TENNIS.
MANAWATU CLUB’S COMMITTEES.
A meeting of tho committee of the tennis section of the Manawatu, Bowling, Croquet and Tennis Club was held last evening when Mr A. D. Campbell occupied tho chair. The following committees were set up for tho season: Match committee, Misses I. Salisbury and M. Mullins and Mr_ L. Miller; ladder committee, Mrs Northey, Miss G. McKenzie and Mr P. Scoble; handicappers, Miss G. McKenzie, Messrs A. U. Campbell and E. Kendrick. The chairman reported that arrangements in connection with the gala day to bo held next Saturday were well in hand and, tprovidcd the weather conditions were propitious, a very successful afternoon and evening’s entertainment would undoubtedly result.
