SHARP FROSTS.
EXPERIENCED AT ROTORUA. ROTORUA, Nov. 9. There were sharp frosts throughout the district on Saturday and Sunday nights—B and 6 degrees being registered. All garden crops are badly affected, and largo areas of potatoes were cut down. WHANGAREI GARDENS SUFFER. WHANGAREI, Nov. 9. The rare occurence of a heavy frost in November was witnessed in Whatigarei last night. The market gardeners report heavy loss of early potatoes and beans, which were blackened by the frost.
