HOTEL BOOM
HIGH PRICES IN BRISBANE
BRISBANE, Oct. 28 .. While the realty in the form of house properties is passing through a quiet period something akin to a hotel boom is being experienced in Brisbane. A tease of 9) years of a Queenstreet hotel was purchased for £14,750. The owner had 2) years in the premises, and then sold the balance of the lease for £21,000. Recently another Queen-street freehold was the subject •of negotiations, but the owner refused an offer of £25,000 on the price he paid for it. One of the most remarkable advances was shown in the City Hotel freehold, which was sold for £16,000. Within three months it was resold for £38,500.
