ON ENGLISH TURF. LONDON, Oct. 28. The Daily News says that McLachlan, jun’s. winning ride- in the Cambridgeshire Handicap is his biggest success since lie secured the Great Metropolitan and City and Suburban Handicap, riding Kwannon and Ulula respectively. , Mr H. K. Macomber’s sensational Cesarewitch and Cambridgeshire double brings him £50,000 for £IOO. It is rumoured that another backer won £BO,OOO. Mr Sol. Joel bought Pons Asmorum before the race. He was ridden by the stable jockey.
