Amery lias appointed a committee, of which Sir Donald MacLean is chairman, including representatives of tho Overseas Settlement Committee and representatives of flic Dominions, to consider how far the existing provision for old age pensions, national health and unemployment insurance tends to discourage emigration from Britain, and how far such tendency will he accentuated by the "Widows and Orphans Act, i :)?5; and how any such adverse effect can bo counteracted.—Reuter.
