A COLD SNAP. SNOW ON HILLS. Once again Palmerston North and district have experienced unseasonable weather for, following the boisterous conditions of yesterday, there were very heavy showers last night, with occasional fierce hail-storms. What was more surprising was to discern, early this morning, snow on the hills to the right of Tiritea and on the ranges back of Ashhurst, although it had tor the most part melted by the midforenoon. .Mr T. R. Moore, of “Waimarama,” Terrace End, states that ho never remembeis such an occurrence locally m November.
