FATAL FALL.
DEATH OF ENGINEER. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 6. At the inquest on the death of Benjamin Bagley Conston, civil engineer, of. Dunedin, who fell from a motor car into the AVaiatu river on October 6th, the coroner said that the post mortem examination had revealed that death was not due to drowning but to laceration of the brain, which would cause instant death. Deceased was a wellknown civil engineer, and his death would he felt by all classes of the community. The verdict returned was that death was due to injuries received as tho result of a fall from a car.
