Nino high-speed automobiles will patrol the city’s streets unceasingly in the endeavour to end the constantly increasing number of bold highway robberies and burglaries by armed desperadoes, which has brought about a condition approaching a reign of terror. The automobiles will carry crows of trained rifle and pistol marksmen, machine gunners, and gas bombers, who have been instructed to work swiftly and effectively. Radio apparatus will enable constant communication to be kept up with police headquarters. Signal rockets will he fired to spread an alarm locally when necessary. Police Commissioner Enright evolved tho plan after consultation with army officers and police officials of the United States and abroad. Commissioner Enright, whose term of office will end on January 1, 1926, has declared: “We are going to stamp out bandits and thugs before the new year.
