WALSH'S FUTURE

NOT WANTED IN BRITAIN

NO ROOM FOR ANOTHER UNION.

(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received November 5, 8.55 a.m.

LONDON

Nov. 4

Concerning tils suggestion that Walsh proposes to come to Britain to establish another seamen’s union in alliance with the Australian Union, both Mr Havelock Wilson’s union and the amalgamated marine workers regard the proposal with indifference. They point out that their unions embrace 80 per cent of the maritime workers of Britain, and therefore obviously there is no room for another union.—A. and N.Z. cable.
