MOTOR VESSELS
MANY BEING BUILT. LONDON, Oct. 31. The monthly nowspaper Motor Shin suggests that in a few years there will bo so many motor vessels afloat that they will influence the freight market owing to. lower'operating costs. The total tonnago of motor vessels now being built all the world over is 1,065,623, compared with steamers 981,788 tons. Thirty-eight per cent of the tonnago now being,/built in tho United Kingdom and 61 per cent being built in foreign countries will bo fitted with oil engines. —A. and N.Z. cable.
