BULGARIAN CITY BOMBED. LONDON, Oct. 25. The if, 0 , continue to hold a long strip of Bulgarian territory of a depth of live miles stretching from Petritch ■:> across the Struma valley, towards Nevrokop. According to .ihe Times’s special correspondent on the spot, shells were still falling in Petritch on Saturday evening. So far the Bulgarians have not resisted the Greeks, but the correspondent points out that at any moment they might begin to do so in spite of orders to the contrary from Sofia.— Times.

The Daily Mail points out that, if the Royalists are successful at the municipal elections 'at Athens, which are now proceeding, the abolition of the republic and the restoration of the monarchy will bo possible. It asks: “Where is General Pangalos finding the money for war? Greece is already in a precarious financial position, and / is only enabled to carry on by the-’ League of Nations sponsoring the 1924 loan amounting to £12,000,000, of which Britain contributed £7,500,000.” —A. and N.Z. cable.
