PREMIER’S VISIT.
ON THURSDAY NEXT. .FURTHER ARRANGEMENTS MADE. . A meeting of the general committee which is furthering ttie candidature of Mr J. A. Nash for the Palmerston seat was held last night, Mr A. E. Bennett presiding. The business, besides the consideration of campaign affairs and the checking of the supplementary roll, embraced details affecting the visit to Palmerston North on Thursday of the Prime Minister, Hon. J. G. Coates. Mr Coates, as announced in the “Standard” yesterday, will arrive from Feilding by train at 10.56 a.m., and will later leave for Napier. It was decided to extend a general invitation to supporters of the Reform Party to meet the Premier on the railway station. Subsequently the Prime Minister, and members of Mr Nash’s general and ladies’ committee, will be the guests of Messrs G'ollinson and Ciinninghame' Ltd., at morning tea.
