DEATH OF A CARDINAL.
PRIMATE- OF CANADA. Received July 20, 1.50 p.m. QUEBEC, July 19. Cardinal Begin, primate of Canada, died at the Archbishop’s palace on Sunday morning.—A. and N.Z. cable. H.E. Most Rev. .Louis Nazairc Begin, D.D., Roman Catholic Archbishop of Quebec since 1898, was born at Levis, Quebec, on June 10, 1840, and was a son of Charles Begin, a farmer. Ho was ordained in" 1865 and was made a Cardinal in 1914.
