CHRISTCHURCH MAN IN TROUBLE Per Pres 3 Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July_ 15. John George Rurgess, aged 58, a builder, and a Justice of the Peace, pleaded guilty this morning to a chargo that at Christchurch, on May 17, being married to Jessie Crosbie Kellahan at> Ashburton, in 1887, he did go through a form of marirage with Nevenia Martha Robertson, thereby committing bigamy. It was stated that accused had been going under the name of Thomas recently. Burgess was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
