AIR EXPEDITION
INTENTIONS OF THE SOVIET. TRIP TO UNKNOWN ARCTIC. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received June JO. 9.10 a.m. LONDON. June 29. The Times's Riga correspondent says; “The Soviet Government intends to equip a Polar air expedition into the unknown Arctic, particularly into the regions directly north of Soviet territory. Dr. Nansen (Arctic explorer) whom it consulted, has now submitted a plan which lias been drafted in collaboration with Captain Brulins, a German aeronaut, who, it is expected, will shortly join Dr. Nansen at Moscow for the purpose of detailed explanations. The Soviet lias also appointed a Commission to examine proposals for establishing regular airship communication between Europe and Asia, via Russia’s most northern territories.” — Times.
