Mr John Edie, M.P. for Clutha, owing to recent illness, will not attend Parliament until next week. Campbell, a prominent North Canterbury fanner and a member of several local bodies, will contest the Iluninui seat in the Reform interests at. the general election. The deceased lady was horn in Nelson, and was the daughter of Air Castle, of that town. After residing in the, town of her birth for many years, Mrs Webby came north and took up residence at Palmerston North. She also resided at Bunnythorpc and other places in the Alanawntu di.-tricl. About six years ago she word to live at Otaki, where she enjoyed splendid health until five weeks ago. Deceased leaves a grown-up family of thirteen.
