GOSPEL OF WORK. LONDON, June 17. Dame Mary Cook, addressing 1.15 domestics who will sail for Australia by the Theinistoeles to-morrow, said:— “Britain is a paradise for the rich, hut Australia is a far better . country for anybody who works. No place is superior to Australia for home-making and bringing up children.” The Agent-General for New South Wales, Sir Arthur Cocks, addressing 60 Dreadnought boys who will sail by the same steamer, said-—“ There is more room for top positions in Australia than when I was a boy, but you must have ginger. Anybody looking for a ‘cushv’ job, had better cancel his passage.”
