Mr Donald MacMillan is here for the christening of tho Peary, one of the two ships equipped with throe aeroplanes which will leave fior the north under his command on Juno 17. He states: “We believe there is a vast unexplored continent, possibly a million square miles in area, west of Northern Queensland.” On his return Mr MacMillan will explore Labrador for Norse ruins, the existence of which have been reported by Esquimaux. The United States navy is sending eight men and the National Geographic Society five scientists with the expedition.—Reuter.
