CONSPIRACY CHARGES.
EX-DETECTIVES SENT TO GOAL
MELBOURNE, May 18.
Olliolm and MacPherson, the two ex-detectives, were sentenced, the former to twelve months and the latter to nine months’ imprisonment. r l hey intend to appeal against the sentence.—Press Association.
Four detectives, after a departmental inquiry, were committed for trial on charges of conspiracy, the theft of f.iOOO, and demanding, with menaces, £6500 from . Terrance Callaghan, Peensee of the Londonderry Hotel, Co - lingwood. It was after an all-night sitting that the jury found Olliolm and MacPherson guilty.
