The young aid beautiful wife of a wealthy tradesrr an of Lugano (Switzerland) when she awoke found at her bedside the following note written in Italian: “Signorinu,—Last night I visited your flat when you were asleep. As I had not the honour of a personal invitation, I entered the window, frankly in order to rob you. You will notice that I collected your jewels and valuables, which *1 intended to take off, but I saw you sleeping peacefully and fell in love with you. I sat for ten minutes at your bedside devouring your beauty and became ashamed and therefore restored them.—Your humble admirer.”—A. find N.Z. cable
