According to the Commonwealth Statistician the combined public debt for the Commoirwon in. and the States amounts to £1.027.247,000. , u . Tlie public debt of tho Commonwealth on March 31 last, was £451,883.235. The total revenue of the States during 1923-24 was £93.101.428. there was an expenditure of £93.456,453 from the revenue and £211,414,190 from loan funds.—Press Association.
