DEPOSITS AT BROKEN HILL.
LARGE RESERVES OF ORE.
Received May 19, 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, May 19.
The Government Geologist, in a report upon the future of the Great Barrier silver and lead field at Broken Hill, says: “The actual ore reserves known are greater to-day than ever before in the history of the mines. These reserves are placed at thirteen million tons, to which may be added seven million tons, which there is a high probability of mining.”—Press Association.
