The visit of Mr Harry N. Holmes, 0.8. E., F.R.G.S., to New Zealand, the scene of his former labours (ho was eight years general secretary of the Wellington Y.M.C.A.), has aroused very considerable interest, not only in Y.M.C.A. circles, but on the part of the general public. Therefore there will he wide interest in the announcement that during his visit to Palmerston North this week, he will deliver on Thursday evening a popular lecture in the Municipal Hall, to which the publio is cordially invited. Mr Holmes has selected as his subject “A Shrinking World and Its .Urgent. C3iaf(enge.” Admission 1s free, a collection being taken to defray expenses.
