MR L. T. McLEAN’S SALE.

There was an excellent attendance at the salo of Mr L. T. McLean’s stud Romney sheep which commenced in the Foilding A. and P. Aas-ociation’s pavilion this morning. Buyers were present from many outside districts, while local breeders were well represented. The sheep wero offered in excellent condition and this was only to be expected from such a careful studmaster as Mr AlcLeati. As usual the stock committee of the A. and P. Association took charge of the yarding of the stock and under the direction ot Mr N. P. Francis, its chairman, everything worked well. Very efficient assistance in this direction was lent by a squad of agricultural students from tho High School, an experience that will no doubt stund them in good stead in after years. The sale was conducted by Messrs Murray, Roberts and G’o. Ltd., and Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Mr Wallace taking the rostrum for tho first lots. The first lots put up were the four-tooth ewes, which sold as follow: 5 to N. J. Lamb, Whangarei, at lOjgns, also 5 at lOgn-s; 5 to W. 11. Buick, Masterton, at 12gns; 7 to N.
