MURDER AND S'UICIDE.
SEQUEL TO UNHAPPY MARRIAGE,

A peasant named Muzzo met his fvife — from whom lie was separated—on a country road near Gallipoli, in company with three men, who accompanied her in order to protect her from bandits. Nuzz»i was seized with fury and shot his wife dead. The three inen tried to seize him but Nuzzo shot each in turn and then escaped. He was pursued by carabineers and whsn surrounded shot himself.
Nuzzo had carried off his wife, with violence, from her father’s house. The marriage was unhappy owing to hit violent character. He recently made hii wife E Demise to kill her father in ordei that e, himself, might avoid the crime. The wife left home with her children and refuted to own her family, the tragely resulting.—A. and N.Z. cable.
