The watereiders who worked yesterday on ths Union Company’s steamers Jpoolta, Waikouaiti and Kaikorai refused re-engage-mont this morning on the grounds that they had been discharged at noon yesterday iib a mark of respect for the Prime Minister, and were not paid for the half day, n conformity with what wae done by the other companies.
