FRANKLIN SEAT.
POSSIBLE CANDIDATES,
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 15. The election committee of the late Prime Minister haa informed Air J. N. Massey of its unanimous wish that, no should stand for the Franklin seat, so l'.ng held by hie father. Although ho has not yet given a definite reply, members of the committee feel that he will comply with their withes. Another candidate in the Reform interests is definitely proposed, a r.-’tfcting of Reform supporters at Papakura tc -day deciding to ask the Rev. W. C. Wood to stand and urging thj Re term Party to choose him as its dheial candidate.
No announcement oi any candidates has yet been made by the Liberal or Labour parties.
COUNTRY PARTY TO CONTEST SEAT. AUCKLAND, May 16. The Country Party has decided to contest the Franklin seat. It is stated that the selection of a candidate will be made in a few days.
