STRANDED IN SYDNEY.
NEW ZEALANDER IN TROUBLE. "SYDNEY, May 15. A recent arrival from New Zealand, Edward Leslie Hills, aged 19, was charged at the Polio© Court with damaging a window. It was stated that he came to Sydney thinking he would have a better chance here, tie failed to find work and was on the verge of starvation and broke a window. The police stated that he wished to make sure of getting a bed and a meal. Hills was fined Is and ordered to pay £1 to refair the damage. He was taken in charge by the Salvation Army till found work or returned to New Zealand. —Press Association.
