THE DAVIS CUP.
NEW ZEALAND’S TEAM. ANDREWS A POSSIBLE MEMBER. Pet Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 28. The management committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association is in communication with the Lawn Tennis Associations of Canada and Australia with reference to the arrangements for playing the first round of the matches in the Davis Cup contest. Much depends on the time and place fixed for tha Australia-Hawaii match, and until these are known definite proposals canu )t be made to the Canadian Association. Pending receipt of the information required it has been decided to make preparations for sending a team away, and the following players have been asked to keep in training in view of the trials:—J. C. Peacock, G. Ollivier, A. G. Wallace, J. F. Lauienson, A. W. Siins, L. France, D. G. France, E. W. Griffiths, E. L. Bartlett, E. D. Andrews, I. Seaj', N. Wilson, J. N. Lowry and E. B. Smythe. ,It is very probable that other players will be nominated by their associations and added to the above list.
