SPORTS ACTIVITIES. Winter sport was entered upon at Flock House on Saturday when a team from the lads played a soccer match against Athletic Club of Palmerston North, the Flock House eleven winning by three goals to two. There was a high wind blowing and the visiting team generously gave the hoys the advuntago of it in both spoils. It was a clean, sportsmanlike match and is hoped to be the forerunner of many others during the winter season. This is the first soeeei mutch played at Flock House, though some Rugby fixtures were played last winter and wilt be continued this year, commencing with a. match against Bulls next Saturday.. The next draft of trainees is expected to leave England on April 2 by the Corinth io, but the authorities in Palmerston North have received no confirmation.
