CABLE CO-OPERATION.
LONDON, Feb. 6. The Financial Times states that the principal submarine cable companies, British and others, are forming an association on similar lines to the Railway Companies' Association to deal with matters of common interest. There is no intention that the association will be in any way an amalgamation or trußt, The scheme has not yet advanced sufficiently to name tbe companies concerned, but it is understood that Mr Frauk Brown, who has just retired from the assistant secretaryship of the Government cables and wireless services, has been appointed adviser to the association.—A. and N.Z. cable.
