ROWING CONTEST.
TROPHY FOR PARRAMATTA RACE. SYDNEY, Feb. 5. The newspaper Sun announces that it has undertaken to provide a gold cup for presentation to the crew whining the eight-oar race between New Zealand and New South Wales, to bo rowed on the Parramatta. river on March 14. Further the Sun suggests to the New South Wales Rowing Association that an annual challenge race should be contested alternatively Australia and New Zealand and should be rowed for a' permanent trophy.—*' Press Association.
