MOTOR VEHICLES ACT.

ADDITIONAL REGISTRATIONS. Although the specified period allow* ed for the re-registration of motor vehicles expired on Saturday last, the postal officials continued to accept applications from belated arrivals, but, stated-the postmaster (Mr R. Martin) to a "Standard" reporter this morning, comparatively few have accepted the opportunity to fulfil their obligations. The 'termination of the period had found that 2150 owners had complied with the order, which was less than one-half the applications expecved, and the past few clays had witnessed but a comparatively few belated comers attend at the post office. Tlio applications handled by the staff vary from as few as five to 13 in' one day, and of the approximate number of 2850 outstanding only a little over 60 had fulfilled their obligations during the past week.
