The sub-commit-tee reported on the work carried out in improving the ground and laying down concrete paths. They also suggested other work to be carried out before the school is opened and it was decided to invite the settlers to participate in a working bee on Tuesday next to carry out any necessary work. We rogret to hear that Mrs J. Riley is an inmnte of tho publio hospital suffering from blood poisoning. Since my last notes our local Tennis Club played friendly matches with Colyton and Ashhurst. The former beat them by 14 games to 10 und the latter match had to be abandoned owing- to rain. They will play return matches on the local courts with both clubs next week. At a special meeting of the Sports Club it was resolved, owing to the restrictions on public gatherings at present, to liold a further meeting later, wnon it will be decided whether it is necessary to postpone the sports to be held on the 25th. All other matters in connection with the sports were reported on and there are splendid prospects for a most successful gathering if the epidemic is over when they are to be held
