An Auckland girl. Miss Gwcn Macnaughton, daughter of Mr J. Macnuughton, of Grey Lynn, established an exceptionally fine record in the dancing compactions at the Waipu Caledonian Society's gathering on New Year's Day, when she- .von scymi first and two second prizes. Included in the list of her successes were a New Zeajand championship and a provincial championship. Miss Macnaughton is 14 years of ige, and has taken part in competitions for only two years.
