PONSONBY BOYS' BAND.

VISIT TO PALMERSTON NORTH

The Ponsonby Boys' Brass Band will arrive in Palmerston North to-mor-row afternoon and will render a proframine of music in the Square at c'clock in the evening. The band is an interesting combination. It was started eight years ago for the musical betterment of the Ponsonby district boys and has a membership of 70, all of whom are enthusiasts on music. Thty receive tuition, instruments and uniform free. The band is administered by a committee of ten members and 'financially supported by friends who love boys. Starting at Gisborne, concerts on the present tour have been scheduled at Napier, Hastings, "Waipawa, Dannevirke, Palmerston North, Ohakune, Raurimu, Manunui and Kakahi.
