The county workmen are providing access to the river'to connect with a punt, 24ft. by 16ft., which will ferry traffic across, and which is hoped to he in order in about a fortnight. The punt will be operated by a hand, winch and cable from either side. The punt will be large enough to accommodate two motor ears at a time and lorries up to three tons loaded.
