THREE “INSANE” VICTIMS
Three women who had got into the hands of a female moneylender asked for advice at a London Police Court a few weeks ago. Out! woman said sho borrowed t'6 4s, a year ago, and had since paid 15s 3d per week interest. She still owed £6 -Is. The second. applicant said she borrowed £l6, and had paid about £52 in interest. The third had a loan of £l2, and had paid £24 in interest. The Magistrate: I think you three ladies ought to be certified as insane. You want putting into a lunatic asvlttm. Pay her nothing more. Let her make the next move, and when she does so come back here.
