SCHOONER IN TROUBLE
SUCCESSFULLY TOWED TO PORT Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Nov. 29. The Quebec City, which arrived in Auckland last night, on October 20 saw the American schooner Florence B Phillips showing signals of distress in the gulf of Mexico, having been badly damaged in a cyclone. The Quebec City got a tow line aboard with the greatest difficulty in the heavy gale, but it broke and was restored. Eventually the schooner was successfully towed to Colon on October 25.
