MAMMOTH SPORTS ART UNION.
PRIZES TO BE DRAWN 22nd DECEMBER, 1924.
The prizes in the mammoth sports art union will be definitely drawn on December 22nd, 1924, and the nearer the event comes, the greater the excitement that is being evinced. Speculation is rife as to who will win the first prize of £IOOO, blit, whoever it may be, one thing is certain, somebody is going to wake up on December 23rd richer by £looo—a very acceptable Christinas box. In such a big art union, there are all sorts of reasons for extending the drawing date, but this the promoters have resolutely refused to do. A slight concession, however, has been made to those who have experienced difficulty in procuring their tickets, and have not yet been able to participate. The closing date for the sale of tickets was originally fixed for November 29th. 1924, hut the promoters now find that they can allow retailers to sell tickets up till Friday, December 12th, 1924, while on and after December 12th, anil up till midnight on December 17th, 1924, tickets will only be obtainable direct from tlie Secretary Mammoth Sports Art Union, Dunedin. As only a few tickets are left, and when these are sold no more will be issued, it will be necessary for those who have nor yet invested to purchase their tickets right away, or they will surely be disappointed. The mammoth sports art union is the biggest of its kind that- has ever been Held in New Zealand, and the prizes—£4000 in alluvial gold—are the most liberal. As tickets cost only 2s 6d each, lie would be a very unnatural person who refrained from investing.
