INTER-CLUE MATCHES. The series of inter-club matches' arranged for the season was continued on the various bowling greens .on Saturday afternoon. Light rain fell during the play, but the games were not materially interrupted. Details of the play were as follows: MANAWATU v. TAKARO. At Manawatu groen, Mauawatu players being mentioned first: I’reece, Low, Thornley, Ross (skip) 15 v. Ferguson, Giorgi, Morgan, Tantrum (skip) 20. At Takaro green, Takaro players being mentioned first: Mundy, Stone, Flint, Smith (skip) 21 v. Sandle, Rabone, Broughton, Eckersley (skip) 26. PALMERSTON NORTH v. TERRACE END. At Palmerston North green, Palmerston North players being mentioned first: Wilson, Kerslake, Ramsay, G. Fraser (skip) 36 v. Nichol, Perry, O’Shea, Fleming (skip) 6; Rudkin, Stephenson, Sollitt, N. 11. Nash (skip) 21 v. Johnston, Mills, Wood, Anderson (skip) 15. At Terrace End green, Terrace End players being mentioned first : Fraser, Ashton, Skoglund, Davidson (skip) 25 v. Tremaine, Tattersall, C. Pickering, Jones- (skip) 19; Munro, Huse, Christiansen, MofFa.lt (skip) 15 v. Smith, Morris, A. Pickering, Trott (skip) 24. The Northern Club, which had a bye on Saturday, played friendly games with Palmerston North Club on the Northern Club’s green. Results were _as follow, Northern playei-3 being mentioned first: Weaver, Welch, Stallard, Morshead (skip) 25 v. Balsillie, Innes, Aiken, ' Griggs (skip) 12; Beattie, Larcomb. Stuart, Tapp (skip) 27 v. McEwen, Elliott, Stevens, Brophy (skip) 10.
A match for the Ainslie Shield will be played .on the Palmerston North green on Wednesday when the holders will be called upon to meet two rinks from the Northern Club —Weavers, J. R. Cunninghame. Stallard, and Moorshead (s); Welch, McLeod, Palmer, and Hodgins (s).
