CRICKET DECISION.
FORMER INCIDENT RECALLED. Received November 29, 1.20 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 28. The newspapers do not comment much on the curious cricket decision in which a lefthander was given out who batted right hand. The incident occurred in a match between the Cenaby und Cadeting Clubs playing in the Yorkshire Cricket Council’s competition. The Daily Chronicle recalls that in the Manchester test match in 1921 Amslrong wan bowling leg stuff well off tho wicket and Fender adopted a left-hand stance and hit the ball for three. The Australians did not appeal, but enjoyed the joke immensely.—A. and N.Z. cable.
