NORTHERN CLUB’S TOURNEY. The croquet tournament being conducted by the Northern Club was continued yesterday when the final rounds of the handicap doubles were contested, and file handicap singles advanced a further stage. Tho finalists in the doubles competition were Alesdames Thornley and AlcDonald (Alanawatu) and Alesdames AlcLeod and Brown (Northern) and in the play o(f tho Alanawatu pair annexed tlie honours by 26 —10. Following are the 'detailed results: HANDICAP DOUBLES. Semi-final: Alesdames Thornley und AleDonald (Alanawatu) beat Alesdames Baxter and C'ororidgc (Manawatu) 26 —18. Final: Alesdames Thornley and AlcDonald beat Alesdames AlcLeod and Brown (Northern) 26—10. HANDICAP SINGLES. Section A: Airs Robertson (Alanawatu) beat Airs Spring (Alanawatu) 26 —13. Section B: Airs McLeod (Northern) beat Mrs 11. E. Bennett (Alanawatu) 26—11; Airs Spinley (Northern) beat Airs Bennett 26—12° Section C: All's Palmer (Northern) beat Airs Sinclair (Tnkuro) 22—15. Section D: Mrs AlcGili (Manawatu) beat Airs Thornley (Alanawatu) 26 —18; Airs AicGili beat Airs Honore (Terrace End) 18—15.
