BAN ON RODEO.
IMPRISONMENT FOR CRUELTY
LONDON, Nov. 19
George Sylvester, known theatrically as Tex* Miliar, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment with hard labour for cruelty to a horse in a rodeo at the Dcvonport Hippodrome. Evidence was given that Sylvester was twice warned, because the horse, which was wounded in the leg, was compelled to buck with a rope band tightly round the loins, causing severe, pain. The magistrate said the projected rodeo at Leeds would be prevented.
