FIRPO HELD UP.
LATER ADMITTED AS VISITOR
NEW YORK, July 21. Luis Firpo, the heavyweight boxer, and a woman named Blanca Lourles. who is listed as Firpo’s stenographer, were held by the immigration authorities on arrival from the Argentine because their passports were insufficiently vised. Firpo’s secretary, Edward Carbone, and Miguel Farrar, his sparring partner, were also detained and all were sent to Ellis Island. Firpo was later admitted to the United States as a visitor.—A. and N.Z. cable.
